BioI'm a native of southwest Mississippi, and before receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of South Alabama, I worked in a variety of interesting jobs, including emergency rooms, independent auction houses, and even a brief stint in a funeral home. My debut novel, BLOOD LAW, a supernatural suspense thriller/dark urban fantasy set in a small Mississippi town, will be published June 22, 2010, by Dell, a division of Random House. In addition to working on the sequel, I finished my Master of Arts degree in English at the University of South Alabama in December 2008. I currently live in Mobile, AL with my husband and four neurotic cats.
You may notice the occasional reference in my blog or writing to the sport/art of knife throwing. Yes, this is a hobby of mine. I'm by no means a world-class champion, but I'm not bad either. I find that throwing sharp, pointed objects at a small wooden target is a great stress reliever, especially if I'm suffering from the occasional writer's block.
Yes, I'm strange. I accept it, and so should you.
