Actually, we do. Mark and I have spent a couple of days rearranging the office. I managed to get the walk in closet cleaned out again so we can use it as proper storage now. We moved the office supply cart and a small book case in it so we would have room for the two new 5-shelf book cases. My book shelves overrunneth. Need more space, hence, new shelves. Until the master bedroom remodel is done, we have to share office space, and we're tripping over each other's stuff at the moment. The clutter was driving me crazy, so we got what we needed to make the world a better place. Now if I can just talk him into bringing the coffee pot into the office so I don't have to walk to the kitchen to get refills, life will be golden.
I'm turning in the first chapter of new novel today as the writing sample for a departmental scholarship. Don't know how well vampires are going to go over as scholarship material but if I'm the only one that applies, then they'll have no choice. Of course, I have no idea how many people have applied for any of these scholarships, but it doesn't cost me anything to dream.
Another thing I have to do today is go by the registrar's office and pick up an application for fall graduation. Then, I get to walk down the hall to the admission's office and pick up an application for graduate school. Yes, I am determined to be the first person in my family to go to grad school. Most of my siblings have bachelor's degrees, but I'll be the first to continue on to grad school. Mark's trying to convince me to "walk" during graduation this fall because he wants to hear my name called with "magna cum laude" or "summa cum laude" attached to it. I'll graduate with one of these honors, but only time will tell which. I'm shooting for summa but I'll take magna and run if I get it. My momma didn't raise no fool.
Well, I have writing to do. I've got a 3-5 page Shakespeare paper due on Friday, so I'd better get to work on that. Plus, I want to get further along in chapter two of the novel. There's also the office to finish. Busy busy busy.
